The effects of ultra violet light, pollution, dirt, grime and salt deposits can all accumulate on your Vogue Pergola over time. To extend the effective life of steel, powder coatings and PVC covers and to protect guarantee requirements that exist, a very simple regular maintenance program should be implemented. As a general rule, cleaning should take place every six months. However, in areas where pollutants are more prevalent, especially in coastal, pool (owned or nearby) and industrial environments where salt and sulphur compounds are more prevalent, a cleaning program should be carried out on a more frequent basis.
Frequency of cleaning: |
Rural/Suburban Environments: |
The maximum period between cleaning should never be more than six (6) months. |
Coastal/Pool/Industrial Environments: |
More frequent cleaning is necessary and the maximum period between cleaning should never be more than three (3) months. |
| Under the worst conditions involving heavy grime, deposition and atmospheric pollution (e.g. sulphur compounds or salts) more frequent cleaning is advisable e.g. monthly if deterioration is to be prevented. |

IMPORTANT
Detergents that recommend the use of gloves when handling should be avoided as this is a good indication that the detergent is harsh and, therefore, unsuitable for cleaning your Vogue Pergola.
Although some strong solvents are recommended for removing sealants or other building residues, these may be harmful to the extended life of your Vogue Pergola and should also be avoided as the damage may not be visible immediately and may take up to twelve months to appear.
